Serum Institute is preparing India's first Kovid vaccine and it will go on the market in 73 days. This vaccine is named 'Coveshield'. At the same time, this vaccine will be free to Indians under the National Immunization Program (NIP), as with all other vaccines under the program.
According to a report, a senior official of Serum Institute of India (SII) said, the government assisted us with the 'Special Manufacturing Priority License' and the test protocol procedures to complete the test in 58 days.
He said, in this way, the first dose is in its final phase from today (Phase 3) and the second dose will be after 29 days. The final test data will be revealed 15 days after the second dose. Until that time, we are planning to commercialize 'Coveshield'.
Earlier, the Phase III trial was expected to take at least 7-8 months. Since 22 August, testing has been conducted on 1600 volunteers at 17 centers, ie, 100 centers are being tested at each center.
At the same time, sources said, the vaccine would be the property of the Serum Institute, as the company has entered into an exclusive agreement with Astra Zeneca to sell and buy its rights in India and 92 other countries.
The central government has already indicated that it will buy the vaccine itself from SII and the citizens will be given free dose. The Center has demanded 68 crore doses for 130 crore Indian citizens from the Serum Institute by June next year.

He said that to make the corona vaccine, more than 150 people are undergoing trials in different phases. Clinical trials have started on 26 people. Out of this, three people have reached the third phase of clinical trial. India is progressing successfully in these trials and it is expected that the trial will be completed in the next two months. He said that this year India will make the vaccine available to the people of the country.

एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया (एसआईआई) के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने कहा, सरकार ने हमें 'विशेष विनिर्माण प्राथमिकता लाइसेंस' और 58 दिनों में परीक्षण पूरा करने के लिए परीक्षण प्रोटोकॉल प्रक्रियाओं में सहायता की।
उन्होंने कहा, इस तरह, पहली खुराक आज से अंतिम चरण में (फेस 3) हो रही है और दूसरी खुराक 29 दिनों के बाद होगी। अंतिम परीक्षण डाटा दूसरे खुराक से 15 दिनों बाद सामने आ जाएगा। उस समय तक, हम 'कोवीशील्ड' का व्यवसायीकरण करने की योजना बना रहे हैं।

वहीं, सूत्रों ने बताया, वैक्सीन सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट की संपत्ति होगी, क्योंकि कंपनी ने इसे भारत और 92 अन्य देशों में बेचने और इसके अधिकार खरीदने के लिए एस्ट्रा जेनेका के साथ एक विशेष समझौता किया है
केंद्र सरकार ने पहले ही इस बात के संकेत दिए हैं कि वह एसआईआई से स्वयं ही वैक्सीन को खरीदेगी और नागरिकों को मुफ्त में इसकी खुराक दी जाएगी। केंद्र ने अगले साल जून तक सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट से 130 करोड़ भारतीय नागरिकों के लिए 68 करोड़ खुराक की मांग की है।

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने भी कहा है कि देश के वैज्ञानिक कोरोना की वैक्सीन बनाने में सफलतापूर्वक आगे बढ़ रहे हैं और उम्मीद है कि दो माह में ट्रायल पूरा हो जाएगा। वैक्सीन इसी साल लोगों को मिल जाएगी। क्लीनिकल ट्रायल अंतिम चरण में है और तीन व्यक्ति क्लीनिकल टेस्ट के तीसरे चरण में भी पहुंच चुके हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि कोरोना वैक्सीन बनाने के लिए करीब 150 से ज्यादा लोगों पर अलग-अलग फेज में ट्रायल चल रहा है। 26 लोगों पर क्लीनिकल ट्रायल शुरू हो चुका है। इसमें से भी तीन लोग क्लीनिकल ट्रायल के थर्ड फेस में पहुंच गए हैं। भारत इन ट्रायल में सफलतापूर्वक आगे बढ़ रहा है और उम्मीद है कि अगले दो माह में ट्रायल पूरा हो जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इसी साल भारत वैक्सीन देश के लोगों को उपलब्ध करा देगा।
